Bedfont Lakes

Bedfont Lakes is a relatively new park in Bedfont, West London. Opened in 1995 it's 180 acres are home to no less than over 300 plant and 140 bird species and is popular with wildlife spotters, dog walkers, runners and families out for the day.

Those who venture up to the highest point of the park - the Millennium Monolith - are treated to wide ranging views of the park itself and can see various landmarks including the Wembley Stadium arch.

The park is frequently used for getting fit. There are various pieces of equipment alongside the main trails and Parkrun often hold events here. Of course you can also just go for a leisurely stroll!

An early morning view of the lakes themselves - former sand pits incorporated into one of London's newest parks.

The view from behind one of the hides in an area of the park reserved for observing nature. Despite the successful Bedfont Lakes business park in the background and the constant taking off and landing of jets at nearby Heathrow the area attracts a wide variety of wildlife.
